Roofing Systems

EPDM Roofing - Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer

EPDM is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane (ethylene propylene diene monomer) widely used in low-slope buildings. Its two primary ingredients, ethylene and propylene, are derived from oil and natural gas. EPDM is available in both black and white, and is sold in a variety of widths, ranging from 7.5 feet to fifty feet, and in two thicknesses, 45 and 60 mils. EPDM can be installed either fully adhered, mechanically attached or ballasted, with the seams of the roofing system sealed with specially formulated tape.

TPO Roofing - Thermoplastic Polyolefin

TPO membrane is a single-ply, flexible, and durable roofing solution used for steep or low-slope buildings. The seams are weldable with hot air. The membranes have excellent ozone resistance, are algae-resistant, long-lasting and environmentally sound. A TPO membrane roof is very resistant to tears, punctures and impact damage. The flexibility also allows for building movement and settling. TPO membranes can be installed in two different ways: fully adhered or mechanically attached. The membranes come in white, grey or tan. Custom colours are available as well.

Modified Bitumen Roofing (SBS) - Styrene Butadiene Styrene

Modified bitumen is a roofing asphalt that was designed for use on buildings that have a low slope or flat roof. There are a wide range of methods available for installing modified bitumen roofing, from using a hot torch to using a sealant-backed peel and stick rolls. Modified bitumen roofing has excellent waterproofing features, and the cost of installation is competitive with other materials when you consider the life of the product.

Green Roofs

A green or living roof is a roof that is partially or completely covered with vegetation planted over a waterproof membrane. Two types of green roof exist: intensive and extensive. Intensive green roofs are essentially elevated parks. They can sustain shrubs, trees, walkways and benches with their complex structural support, irrigation, drainage and root protection layers. Extensive green roofs are relatively light and support hearty native ground cover that requires little maintenance. Extensive green roofs usually exist solely for their environmental benefits and don't function as accessible rooftop gardens.

Metal Roofing

Metal roofing is a preferred alternative for sloped roofs. Various profiles are engineered to accomodate the slope of the roof. They are also designed to provide pleasing aesthetics, since they are typically visible from ground level.
