The Project

Skyridge includes 30 single-family lots, 20 duplexes, 26 townhouses and 44 condominium-style Skysuite homes, along with a private school and daycare in Squamish's Garibaldi Estates area.

The range of building types created several roof forms and exterior materials rather than one repeated assembly on a single structure.

Roofing Delivery

Our scope included flat roofing, sloped roofing, PVC roofing, metal roofing and metal cladding across the community's varied building forms.

Delivering several systems across a multi-phase development allowed each roof form and exterior condition to be addressed with an appropriate roofing or cladding solution.

Why Multiple Roofing Systems Fit a Master-Planned Community

A community containing detached homes, duplexes, townhouses and condominium buildings rarely has one roof condition. Steeper residential roofs prioritize water and snow shedding, while low-slope areas require continuous membrane waterproofing and carefully planned drainage.

Metal roofing can suit prominent sloped features, while PVC can serve low-slope zones with heat-welded seams and resistance to many rooftop contaminants. Metal cladding can coordinate exterior materials across varied housing forms using rainscreen principles.

At Skyridge, this mix gave us the flexibility to address low-slope membrane areas, prominent sloped roof features and coordinated exterior cladding across a varied master plan.
